It could be like Rougon-Macquart,
but rather the worse side of it,
always the horse behind the cart,
the horse grew old and feels unfit.
She has kinetic problems, big,
memory lapses, overweight,
descendants who don’t give a fig,
too well aware, but always late.

killing a horse, convenient trick,
pretending that we never knew,
to think of you, makes me so sick,
each one in turn, and all of you.
She has her ailments and her griefs,
she has her never changing ways,
all her illogical beliefs,
but her pure heart as ever stays.
I have this horse that is too old,
and I am left with it alone,
it cannot be dismissed or sold,
the only way is to go on.
