SUSPICION
Later on this afternoon,
as I was having diner,
I calculated that the moon,
will go even meaner.
You called me and I spoke with you,
and with our little boy,
but, I didn’t get a single clue,
your words were rather coy.
You asked me what I have for dins
and how my mother cooks,
and still I wonder what it means,
to live on your good looks.
My mother’s cooking is elite,
and made me what I am,
‘ twas always seafood, veg and meat,
but never German ham.
It’s good to know how to cook,
when you have got a child,
and after having read the book,
use straight words and mild.
The joy of talking with my son,
confused my brain cells,
“we can’t undo what has been done”,
take hid of these old ringing bells.
I glossed it over with a sigh,
but I don’t think you heard,
I’m low, but you sound so high,
to kill a mocking bird.
Your mocking bird then I will be,
so catch me if you can,
and if you kill me, let it be,
enjoy your hot cross ban!
So, happy feast, thanks for the call,
it seems we’re both bemused,
I cannot find a use at all,
in things that others have used.
