I HAVE A LASSIE IN MY MIND


My loneliness I entertain
in this Minoan Crete terrain,
the only thing that's missing
is a Minoan love affair,
everything else is a fan fair,
I'm doing little fishing.

But without fishing there's no catch,
I know, you told me just as much,
but you were caught already,
the time works for one who waits,
bright moon the sea illuminates,
I kick myself, "Boy, steady!"

As long as I'm not left behind,
I have a lassie in my mind,
her name not for disclosure,
but she's so cute, with passions hot,
and so am I, or am I not?
These passions need exposure.
